Volunteering in the Dominican Republic
About a month ago, I had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic where I worked with a local institute to improve their branding. What an amazing experience!
Itesmarena is the only institute of its kind in the Caribbean. They offer two-year degrees in environmental studies and other eco-friendly offerings. I had the immense pleasure of working with their friendly staff and spend time in their beautiful, green space. It was an extra bonus to finally get back into international travel for the first time since 2019.
Being surrounded with so much inspiration made my brochure design such a breeze. I also had the chance to discuss the importance of design with their students, and I loved watching this younger generation’s enthusiasm and interest in design. At the end of the two weeks, Itesmarena had a new brochure, flyer template, updated stationery, new icons, and guidance for their website.
